Since the 1990s, the environmental challenge forces people to respond appropriately in the process of packaging design, packaging companies and design companies have begun to implement the environmental thinking on the green packaging design. Meanwhile, consider the environment impact in the design, has became a hot topic of green packaging design research.

Green packaging design takes the packaging products as the organic elements of mankind survival, with the humans and the environment pollution-free, recyclable or renewable materials to design packaging products, the requirements from the market demand, design and development, production, transportation, sales and waste recycling cycle, and at every stage in the cycle of green packaging design, product and environment influence each other. It also stressed that human beings follow the premise of the laws of ecology and social aesthetic rules, the use of scientific strategy, means make man-made items to meet the human and natural features, it's not only brought people short visual shock, but long-lasting material and spiritual enjoyment . The green packaging design involved include the following aspects:

In Recycle stage, we should consider how to facilitate the recovery of packaging products, and through the structure, materials design, leave used packaging demolition and classification entrance.
