Can't open packmage.com? 30-Second Self-Service Fix

Some users see "This site can't be reached / ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT" when opening www.packmage.com, while it works fine on mobile data (4G/5G hotspot). This is usually not a problem with our server—your broadband ISP's DNS is resolving the domain to the wrong address. Follow any method below to fix it.

Why does this happen?

When a device goes online, it must translate the domain name packmage.com into the server's IP address. This job is done by your network's DNS server. Some broadband ISPs occasionally translate it incorrectly, causing the connection to time out. Switching to a major provider's "public DNS" fixes the resolution.

How to fix it (choose one)

Method 1: Download the one-click fix tool (Windows, easiest)

⬇ Download Fix Tool (.zip)

  1. Download the zip and extract it to your desktop.
  2. Open the extracted folder and double-click the .bat file (a "Do you want to allow this app to make changes?" prompt appears → click Yes).
  3. When the window finishes, reopen your browser and visit www.packmage.com.
  4. The tool only changes DNS—nothing else is touched, and it can be reverted anytime.

The zip also contains a .ps1 (PowerShell) version—right-click it and choose "Run with PowerShell" if you prefer. If your browser or antivirus blocks the download, choose "Keep" / "Download anyway".

Method 2: Change network adapter DNS manually (Windows)

  1. Right-click the network icon in the taskbar → "Network & Internet settings" → "Change adapter options".
  2. Right-click your active "Ethernet" or "Wi-Fi" → "Properties".
  3. Double-click "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)".
  4. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter:
    Preferred DNS: 223.5.5.5
    Alternate DNS: 119.29.29.29
  5. Click "OK" to save, then reopen your browser.

Method 3: Change router DNS (fixes all devices at once)

  1. Log in to your router's admin page in a browser (usually 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.0.1—see the sticker on the router, or tplogin.cn / melogin.cn).
  2. Find "Network / WAN / DNS settings".
  3. Set Primary DNS to 223.5.5.5 and Secondary DNS to 119.29.29.29, then save.
  4. Reboot the router; all devices on this Wi-Fi will be fixed.

Note: if your broadband uses a modem in bridge mode (the modem dials the connection), set the DNS on the modem, or apply Method 2 on each device.

Phone / tablet (only if it also fails on the same Wi-Fi)

  • iOS: Wi-Fi ⓘ → Configure DNS → Manual → add 223.5.5.5 and 119.29.29.29.
  • Android: long-press Wi-Fi → Modify network / Advanced → set "Private DNS" to dns.alidns.com (i.e. 223.5.5.5).

If it works on mobile data, you don't need to change anything on the phone—only when the phone also fails on your home Wi-Fi.

How to revert

Change step 4 in Method 2 back to "Obtain DNS server address automatically"; on the router, switch DNS back to "automatic".

Still not working?

  • Restart your PC or router once and try again.
  • Try a different method (e.g. manual DNS instead of the tool).
  • If it still fails, your ISP may be blocking external DNS—please contact support and we'll help remotely.
Is changing these DNS safe?
223.5.5.5 is Aliyun (Alibaba Cloud) Public DNS and 119.29.29.29 is Tencent Cloud Public DNS—both are mainstream, certified providers in China. They are used only for domain resolution, are safe and compliant, and do not collect your private data.
